In this company, we strive for excellence in customer service and practice environmentally sound pest management, through vigorous study, training and attention to detail.
We will not compromise quality of service by sending out technicians until they prove to us that they fully understand and embrace environmentally sound pest management practices and show an interest in their work. We are always on the lookout and seeking these types of individuals.
Janene Pastor LMP (Owner) became interested in the pest control industry when she realized how much could be done to improve the methods and materials that were currently being used at the time. Her dedication to healthier, less toxic ways of doing pest control has facilitated the continual development of more targeted environmentally sustainable practices. Her hope is that through her efforts to build Aria Environmental LLC and her educational presentations and interactions with customers and colleagues, she can make a positive impact on the industry as a whole.
Andrew Soeprono obtained a Master's Degree in Entomology from University of California, Riverside where he worked with Dr. Michael Rust and Don Reierson. Andrew published several papers in scientific journals and trade magazines. An example would be: Soeprono, A.M. & M.K. Rust 2004. Strategies for Controlling Argentine Ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). Sociobiology Vol. 44, No. 3, 2004. The published studies were on how various pesticides affected Argentine ant foraging.
Andrew Soeprono, M.S., started out in the industry through academia. His studies were in urban entomology. Through his interactions with Dr. Michael K. Rust and those employed in his laboratory at University of California, Riverside he has explored the use of pesticides, baits, trap, and other equipment in the detection and control of various pests including ants and termites. In 2004, he became the technical director of a large pest control company in the Pacific Northwest. There, he trained technicians in the field and classroom on integrated pest management, developed and improved protocols for controlling various pests, quality assurance, and provided presentations for industry conventions and seminars. Through his work with Aria Environmental, he is dedicated to helping develop practical ways of reducing hazardous practices and designing new, more efficient and effective least-toxic and non-chemical pest control.
According to Andrew, the only way to do this is to stay active as a technician in the field and constantly seek opportunities to improve with a learning attitude.
